There are up to 311 members. The number of members is determined by the number of people who usually come to the Dorford Centre where the monthly lectures are held.
The subscription is £35 for a single or £70 for a couple living at the same address. This will rise in January to £45 or £90.
Membership includes ten illustrated lectures a year, but also on offer to the members:
- Special Interests Days which looks at a subject if more depth, with lunch
- Day Visits
- Either a 4/5 tour in the UK or abroad
- Volunteering opportunities
- Hybrid lectures
In addition, you will become a member of the National Organisation of The Arts Society which gives you three magazines a year and access to activities in The Arts Society Wessex Area
Guests may attend any lecture for a donation of £7 or book a Zoom link via ticketsource on our home page (£7). Due to popular demand we will continue to also provide a zoom link to members.

Every Spring, the Society hosts a New Members Party where new members gather to meet the Committee and each other. This is a popular event and ensures that each new member is warmly welcomed.
